Dochoa

This is a new programme to analyse data from the CHILDES database. It's main goal are

• to allow sharing of tagging across researchers, thus enabling reuse of previous work and standardising the tagging

• to make counts of linguistically significant phenomena automatic and easy, thus enabling large scale counts
• to explore automatics tagging and parsing of child utterances

Dochoa is free software, meaning that you can get it for free and you can also see the source code, change it, improve it, etc. It is still under development, but can already count significant phenomena in typical CHILDES corpora, such as extracting root infinitives, null subjects, etc. (dependent on prior tagging, obviously). It is named after Digna Ochoa.

For people from Acq03, you might need the the list of keywords you can use, and the statistics files that other groups are sending in.
